The first of a new weekly series of photographs of various aspects of Hawke’s Bay, the way I see it. I hope you enjoy them 🙂
Twenty-seven new citizens were recently welcomed to New Zealand at a ceremony at the Hastings District Council, by deputy mayor Cynthia Bowers and council CEO Ross McLeod.
Kahurangi Maori Dance Theatre put on an awesome Maori performance and each new citizen was presented with a kowhai tree, a native of New Zealand.
They included people from Samoa, South Africa, Zimbabwe, Argentina, Kenya, India, The Philippines, Britain, China and Italy.
Welcome to New Zealand 🙂
Art Deco Party held at McCauley’s Store and Cafe (the old Otane Library in Otane, Central Hawke’s Bay)
In between taking photographs, I played the part of Rhett in Gone With The Wind... “Frankly my dear, I don’t give a damn…”
The new Warehouse Xtra in Karamu Rd, Hastings, Hawke’s Bay.
I had to hire a scissor-lift to get high enough for these shots. Guess you’re never too old to learn new tricks…
Absolutely stunning, what a beautiful world we live in.
I love how different a tree looks depending on how you take the photograph  and when you take it.
Such variety.
